DAX((Data Analysis Expressions))와 MDX

DAX 언어는 PowerPivot 통합 문서에서 사용할 수 있는 새로운 수식 언어입니다.

DAX는 MDX의 하위 집합이 아니지만, Excel에서 수식 언어의 확장으로 간주되는 새로운 수식 언어입니다.

DAX 문은 PowerPivot 통합 문서의 테이블 및 관계로 구성되는 메모리 내 관계형 데이터 저장소에 대해 작동합니다. DAX를 사용하여 사용자 지정 측정값과 계산 열을 만들 수 있습니다.

PowerPivot 클라이언트와 로컬 Analysis Services 인스턴스 간의 상호 작용을 모니터링하면 메모리 내 저장소 엔진에 보낸 DAX 식을 볼 수 있습니다. 이렇게 하려면 통합 문서에서 추적을 만들고 SQL Server 프로파일러를 사용하여 추적을 볼 수 있습니다.

제한사항

  • DAX는 쿼리 언어가 아니며, Analysis Services의 in-process 인스턴스에 전달되는 MDX 문 내에 포함되는 식 언어입니다.
  • DAX 식 사용은 PowerPivot for Excel 내에서만 지원됩니다. 기존 OLAP을 지원하는 Analysis Services 인스턴스에서는 DAX 식으로 만든 측정값을 사용할 수 없습니다.

Self-Service BI in Excel

Ø  Power Query – easily discover and connect to data from public and corporate data sources. This includes new data search capabilities, as well as capabilities to easily transform and merge data from multiple data sources so that you can continue to analyze it in Excel.

Ø  Power Pivot – continue to create sophisticated data models with that data in Excel by creating relationships, custom measures, hierarchies, and KPI’s. Power Pivot models run in-memory so that users can analyze 100’s of millions of rows of data with lightning fast performance.

Ø  Power View easily create reports and analytical views through interactive charts and graphs that help you explore and present your data visually in Excel.


Ø  Power Map – explore and navigate geospatial data on a 3D map experience in Excel.

Power BI 세팅 방법

Power BI enables self-service business intelligence for all your data. With Power BI, you get complete self-service BI for your on-premises and cloud-based data by using the new data discovery and analysis features in Excel with the collaboration capabilities in the new Power BI cloud service.
To administer Power BI, you use the Power BI Admin Center. Before you can start using the Admin Center, you need to setup Power BI for Office 365.
To setup a Power BI site, you need a Power BI for Office 365 account. To create a Power BI account, go tohttp://www.powerbi.com.

How to setup Microsoft Power BI for Office 365

After you sign up for a Power BI site at http://www.powerbi.com, you setup Power BI with just a few steps.
  1. From your Office 365 site, click Sites in the upper right corner of the dashboard page.
 NOTE    If you see the We’re almost ready page, your Office 365 site is provisioned but not yet setup. You might need to wait 10 to 15 minutes for site setup to complete.
  1. In the new site page, click the Team Site tile.

이렇게 설정이 완료되면 Excel Power Query에서 OData 연결을 통해 해당 Data 즉, 세팅된 Table이나 View 선택해서 확인할 수 있다.
